Step8Up has been announced as a Finalist in the highly respected British Training Awards 2025, a national recognition of excellence in learning and development across the UK. The awards celebrate organisations and individuals dedicated to shaping a skilled, adaptable workforce ready to meet future challenges.
This year’s competition saw more than 360 entries from a wide range of sectors, including technology, public services, start-ups, and multinational companies. Finalists were selected across several competitive categories such as ‘Training Initiative of the Year’, ‘AI in Learning Initiative of the Year’, and ‘Leader of the Year’.
The judging panel featured senior learning and development leaders from some of the UK’s most prominent organisations, including OVO, Smith+Nephew, Lidl GB, AJ Bell, Bupa, Booking.com, and Bentley Motors. Their involvement reflects the award’s high standards and the calibre of its shortlisted candidates.
Step8Up earned its finalist spot for its innovative Skills Bootcamps, designed to provide learners and local employers with practical, industry-relevant digital and data skills that lead to real job opportunities. These programs focus on market alignment and inclusive delivery, helping bridge the gap between training and employment.
“At Step8Up, we believe great training doesn’t just teach skills — it opens doors,” said Jeev Sahoo, Director at Step8Up. “Our Skills Bootcamps equip learners and local businesses with the capabilities needed for success. Being named a finalist reflects our commitment to inclusive, result-led and market-relevant training that drives lasting change.”
Winners of the British Training Awards 2025 will be announced at a ceremony in Covent Garden, London, on 8th July 2025.
The awards are powered by New Possible, an employee insight platform that helps organisations foster improvement through meaningful feedback. Nate Harwood, Founder of New Possible, noted the exceptional response to this year’s awards, stating: “We were humbled by the record number and quality of entries this year. L&D is the powerhouse behind an agile workforce. Congratulations to all our Finalists.”
